Freebie Friday – Seaside [Pixel Scrapper July Blog Train]

It’s July. It’s been a whirlwind 6 months. Every time I think I’ve got a handle on things, life whacks me in the face with a banana. Not that I’m alone in that this year, right?

But we’re halfway through 2020! (Thank bloody goodness.)

I’ve always wanted to create a nautical kit. It’s one of those things that I put on the back burner until the time was right. Honestly, I’m not sure the time was right, and occasionally I find myself second guessing my design choices – but I had the time, I’ve been feeling pretty good lately, and it’s a decent enough alternative to actually heading off to the seaside considering it’s winter and, you know, being immunocompromised in the middle of a worldwide pandemic.

As usual I got a bit carried away and ended up with a bit of a collection.

You can buy the kit by itself, or grab the bundle with a few extras (a marble alpha, journal cards, and some cute nautical scatters).

There’s also a free nifty mini kit for this month’s Pixel Scrapper blog train. Don’t forget to check out the other freebies.

Freebie Friday – Oh Boy! [Pixel Scrapper March Blog Train]

I went a little outside the box for this month’s Pixel Scrapper blog train contribution.

I’m a stay at home mum right now, and have been for the last seven years. I enjoy it about 99% of the time but it can be quite isolating, particularly if you’re an introvert like me.

I do have my excellent family and close friends, and my small group of mum friends and acquaintances, but right now, my main tribe consists of my three little boys – four if you count my husband, but he’s not quite as high maintenance as my three (cute but annoying) stooges.

I ended up making an entire kit of all things boy. The kit is a giant boyish cliché because my boys happen to be a giant boyish cliché.

I am surrounded by blue things, and cars, spaceships, trains, LEGO, and an alarming number of varied toy weapons. (And a little bit of Frozen – which is also mostly blue – because my middle child cannot effing let it go.)

I’m starting to think that the LEGO and Hot Wheels cars multiply of their own accord when I’m not looking …

You can get the whole kit on Etsy.

Or you can have the journal cards for free!

I hope these cards come in handy if you have a boy tribe of your own. Or if you just like the colour blue.

Freebie Friday – Renaissance Faire [PixelScrapper September Blog Train]

I was really excited when I saw the theme and colour scheme for the September blog train at Pixel Scrapper. I’m a supreme history geek. Especially the romantic, idealised version of history you find at faires.

We don’t have many of them in Australia. I only just attended my first last year – and it was amazing. We went this year too. Google tells me there’s a big one up in Queensland, so I’ll have to check that one out when I find the time to ditch my kids and go on a holiday. Blisfully alone.

Anyway, the subject matter called to me and I ended up with a lot of stuff. Between school drop-offs, piles of laundry, meal planning, homework, 15 minute naps (wtf, kid?) and keeping my darling children alive, I photoshopped until I could photoshop no more!

Actually, I ended up with a pretty impressive kit and it was already mid September, so I figured I’d stop.

I weeded out some cute brads and papers for this week’s freebie for the blog train. (Click on the image to download the zip file.)

This is the full result of my labours, which you can get at my Etsy shop:

Freebie Friday – Mum In A Million

I was hoping to get this out before Mother’s Day but I got sidetracked by my cute (and incredibly annoying) sproglets. But overall, I’m calling it a win – despite being chronically sleep deprived and in an eternal state of ‘what have I forgotten to do today?’, between my husband and I, we’ve managed to keep all three of our children alive, fed, and (usually) dressed.

I’ve even managed to sign and return permission notes and homework to school on time! That is, of course, assuming I get the notes before they’re due back … but that’s a worry for another day.

So basically, I’m celebrating myself.

And my darling mum, who still thinks my children are the best in the world and has way more patience for them than I do. LOVE YOU, MUM!

Head on over to my Etsy store and celebrate all things mum (or mom) with a bright and sparkly bundle of mum-isms, Mum In A Million.

Or you could just grab a set of complementary floral wallpaper patterned papers below. Click on the image to download.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums, bio and otherwise, the grandmothers, grandmas, and avós! And to all the dads doing double time!

Freebie Friday (and a bit of shameless promoting)

First off, I’d like to thank everyone for being so lovely and supportive throughout my pregnancy whining and the tragic blog neglect that followed. I appreciate all the well wishes and congratulations – and the sympathy at my pre-baby pity parties!

Secondly, this week I’m going to shamelessly direct you to my Etsy shop. Because I can.

Baby Thomas is now 6 weeks old – so all scrap bundles at Pixel In My Pocket are 60% off for this week only. So it’s an excellent time to add to your digital scrap stash! It’s an awesome deal – for less than $5 you get a huge full-sized kit along with a whole bunch of various extras, including papers, journal cards, alphas, and embellishments.

I’m offering two freebies this week featuring complementary papers for two of the discounted bundles: Tudor Rose and A Grimm Sort of Tale. The first is a set of glitter papers and polka dot foil patterns for all your medieval and historical needs, the second features one of my absolute favourite papers, the fairytale-inspired pattern that makes up my current header. And now you can download it for your collection!

Freebie Friday – Dino Roar Bottle Caps

Last month I participated in the October “I Dig It” PixelScrapper blog train. Since I was drowning in toy cars, and ocasionally stepping on them too because my children are blind to mess, I focused on a cute little construction theme. Later, as the others posted, I thought how cool would a dinosaur themed kit be?

It would be DINO-MITE, AMIRITE?

So I set to work and you can find the resulting dino-riffic kit (or bundle if you’d like some more bits and pieces) on Etsy.

___________________________________________________

As a sneak peek, this week I have some super cool matching dinosaur bottle caps for you. (Click on the image below to download.)

Next week we have the final random freebie of the year before it all falls to CHRISTMAS! LOTS OF CHRISTMAS!

Etsy Shop Update

My Etsy Store is up and running. I’ve been slowly adding paper packs and scrap kits for the last few months and I think it’s looking pretty sharp. It’s a work in progress (and I suspect it always will be as tastes change and I figure out what my customers want), but I’m quite happy with it at present.

If you like my freebies and want more, please to check it out.

Here are some of my favourites:
