The boys are having a sleepover at my mum’s. The apartment is peaceful (yeah, that’s unusual). I’ve got The Hunger Games on the in background. Because it makes for very dramatic inspiration. Or really just because it was the first DVD I grabbed off the shelf. It’s late – almost midnight – and my husband is asleep. Thanks to the liberal amounts of caffeine in my system, I’m wide awake and buzzed. (But that’s okay because I’ll be able to sleep past 5am, woo!)
I’m also wondering what the heck I’ve gotten myself into!
I’ve been preparing to launch this blog for almost six months. I’m a perfectionist and a procrastinator; two personal traits that aren’t particularly complementary. Everything must be perfect. Beyond perfect. I’ve tweaked the WordPress theme more times than I can count. I’ve nit-picked every bit of spelling and grammar. I have my freebies lined up for the next several weeks. I am prepared.
I think! (I hope …)
And here we are.
Welcome to {Pixel In My Pocket}. My name is Trish and I’m here to add to the colour, the fun, the super creative world of digital scrapbooking. And I throw myself at your mercy. I am in awe of the level of talent that exists in this glittery digi-scrap world of ours. I hope that my designs come in handy, and I really hope that you enjoy using them as much as I enjoyed creating them. It was hard work and I disappeared into my share of inspirational black holes but still it was an amazing exercise in creativity.
I’m learning new things every day. Not only through my own creative efforts but as I lurk and download and chat and spend way too much time looking at other people’s layouts on Pinterest.
My first freebie will be available on Friday, 1st July. I think that’s a good starting off point, don’t you?
I’ll see you very soon with my first offering!

Hi Trish,
My name is Kathy and I am a confirmed graphics addict. Your site is wonderful, a treasure trove of beautiful designs. Of course, I have now collected every one of them and hopefully I will be able to put them to use. Even if it is just looking through your designs, they are a delight to my eyes. I don’t have a web site, so no worries that I will ever post or share your designs on the internet. My main use is in card making, but only for personal use. I do not sell any of the items that I make. I just wanted to drop you a note and say thank you for sharing your wonderful talent!
Have a wonderful day,
Kathy
